The Mississippi Tourism Association (MTA) will host its annual Tourism Day at the Capitol on Wednesday, March 5, 2025, at the Mississippi Capitol in Jackson. The event will spotlight tourism’s vital role as the state’s fourth-largest industry and its significant contribution to economic growth and community development across Mississippi.
Tourism leaders from communities statewide will join MTA to share insights and data on how the industry continues to drive revenue and create jobs. The event aims to raise awareness among lawmakers and the public about the positive impact of travel and tourism.
A special appearance by the Mississippi Aquarium will add a unique touch to the event, featuring a Gopher Tortoise and Skink for B-roll opportunities starting at 1:00 p.m.
The main press conference will take place at 1:15 p.m. on the South Steps of the Mississippi Capitol. In case of rain, the event will move to the second-floor rotunda inside the Capitol. Media interviews will follow the press conference.
